In 1989, KISS released Hot in the Shade, which featured this song, Forever. It was the band’s 1st American Top 40 hit since 1979’s I Was Made For Loving You hit #11. Forever topped out at #8 in 1990. For most diehard KISS fans, this is a forgettable album. The album has Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr joining Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. Incidentally, this is the last album Eric Carr played with the band before his death.
Finally, to add insult to injury, this song was co-written by Michael Bolton. Talk about breaking the hearts of KISS fans everywhere….
